Where to start

1. Begin by measuring the width and length of the roof area you wish to cover.
2. Make a note of the abutting edge for each side.
3. Lookup the additional membrane dimensions based on the appropriate abutting edges.
4. Add additional membrane dimensions to the actual width and length to get your required size.

How much additional membrane will I need?

Examples

Regular edged flat roof, of size 4m x 2m:

1. Width: 4m, Length: 2m.
2. All abutting sides are regular gutter edges.
3. Additional membrane requirements will be 300mm for length and width.
4. Required size of membrane is 4.3m x 2.3m.

Flat roof of size 4m x 2m with 4m edge abutting tiled roof:

1. Width: 4m, Length: 2m.
2. 3 abutting sides are regular gutter edges, 1 abutting side is a tiled roof.
3. Additional membrane requirements will be 300mm for length and 400mm for width.
4. Required size of membrane is 4.4m x 2.3m.
